Cancer Screening + Diagnosis

Cancer affects a substantial number of people each year and for this reason, it’s extremely important to know about the different types which may affect women and how to prevent them.

Crown OB/Gyn offers the following cancer screening services:

  • Breast cancer: breast exam, ultrasound, mammograms

  • Vaginal cancer: exam, targeted biopsies, vaginal colposcopy

  • Vulvar cancer: exam, targeted biopsies

  • Cervical cancer: pap smears, colposcopy, LEEP, and cold knife cone procedures

  • Uterine cancer: Ultrasound, targeted office exam, hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsies, targeted biopsies (polypectomy, myomectomy - removal of polyps and fibroids, respectively)

  • Ovarian cancer: Ultrasound, targeted office exam, tumor markers (blood work), procedures - removal of ovaries or ovarian cysts

As your gynecologist, Crown OB/Gyn is your partner when it comes to looking for early signs of cancer and we will work closely with gynecology oncology and refer patients with cancer diagnoses to them for further treatment (further surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation) and care as needed
