In-Office Procedures
Crown OB/Gyn provides these procedures in our offices at all four locations:
Placement of long-term contraceptive devices (IUDs and Nexplanon)
Looking into the uterus with a camera (hysteroscopy), and removing polyps (polypectomy) or fibroids (myomectomy)
Loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) for abnormal cervical cells
Manual vacuum aspiration (procedure to remove retained tissue after a miscarriage or delivery)
Incision and drainage of vulvar and perineal abscess and cysts, including Bartholin cysts
Biopsy and sometimes also removal of precancerous or cancerous lesions of the vulva
For in-office procedures, we often administer oral pain and anti-anxiety medications in addition to a local block at the area of the procedure. There are a variety of options we can use based on the preferences of the patient and provider.
